With the event just a mere few days away, we’ve compiled a few tips to make your experience at the Midsummer 2017 weekend in Palawan the best that it can be. Here’s a short festival guide for you.

Our Mayor and the Mayors before him are very environmentally conscious. There will be trash bins for you to throw your garbage at within the festival grounds. If you’re going to the beaches or explore the streets around town, be responsible for your waste and DO NOT JUST THROW YOUR GARBAGE ANYWHERE. Fines will be imposed either by police or citizen’s arrest. This is Puerto Princesa –lauded for decades as the cleanest and greenest city.

Our President hates drugs.

This is you and your friends’ festival access. Make sure you have these heading into the event. You can purchase LifeDance 2017 tickets from our official sellers, declared outlets, or online at (http://eventtickets.world/events/midsummer-2017-baywalk-puerto-princesa/). Preselling is at 30% off.

For those who purchased online, you may redeem the actual tickets at the event site. Don’t forget to bring a valid ID, just in case.

Keep the memories and you’ll be amazed at the adventure you’ve been to. You’re in Palawan. It’s a threshold for IG stories and moments -from landing, to the local scene, to the beaches, to the festival, and to the afterparty. It will be something you and your friends would love to treasure. You might want to bring a portable charger too. Nothing more disappointing than seeing your phone/camera battery almost empty just as an interesting moment or a wonderful view comes into sight.

Don’t forget to pack some zip-locks for your electronic devices.

It’s going to be a crowded gathering so make sure you dress comfortably. Festivals are one of the few occasions where you can dress however you want and not look out of place. Also, it’s summer in a tropical paradise. Feel free and get comfortable with your own skin and show off that glorious tan. Remember to pack some swim gear -beaches and resorts are everywhere.

As a general rule, we advise that you stay hydrated in events such as raves. It will help keep your stamina up and enjoy the festivities to the fullest. There are more than enough stalls that sell water and other refreshments. Make sure you keep your thirst in check.

If you have any ailments, it would be a good idea to pack simple meds just in case it becomes a problem later. Better safe than sorry.

In any case, we have medical tents around the festival grounds as well.

To insure the safety of everyone, the following items are prohibited at the gate of the festival grounds:

  • Weapons or any sharp objects
  • Candles, fireworks, or any kind of pyrotechnics
  • Glass/Pet bottles, cans, hard plastic containers, etc
  • Laser pens and pointers
  • Large chains, spike bracelets, wallet chains, and large metal belt buckles
  • Chairs and other kinds of furniture

Food and drinks coming from outside the festival grounds are not allowed. No alcoholic drinks to minors.

Our event security team has also advised us to ban backpacks at festivals, especially in times like this. Sling bags and other small bags (that are easy to check) are ok.

We can only do as much as prepare the event for you. We need YOU and your squad to make it FUN. Come into the festival ready to dive in with peace, love, unity and respect. We’re happy if you’re happy so keep an open mind and enjoy the Midsummer experience in Palawan!
